Management of Change for Aviation
Turn management of change from a paper checklist into a structured, auditable workflow — every step owned, signed off, and tracked to completion.
Management of change (MoC) is where many safety management systems quietly fail: a new aircraft type, a route, an org change, or a procedure is introduced, but the risk assessment and approvals live in email and memory. CitadelAero runs MoC as a repeatable workflow — built from a reusable template, progressed step by step with assigned owners, and backed by an automatic action for every step — so change is managed consistently and the record is complete.
Template-driven, repeatable change
Every management-of-change process runs from a reusable template with hierarchical parent and sub-steps, so the same rigour applies whether you're onboarding an aircraft, a pilot, or rolling out a procedure change. Each instance gets an auto-generated WF-[YEAR]-[SEQ] reference for the record.
- Reusable templates with hierarchical, decimal-numbered steps (1.1, 1.2, 2.1…)
- Built-in categories including Management of Change, Aircraft Entry, and Pilot Onboarding
- Auto-generated WF-[YEAR]-[SEQ] reference on every instance
Owned, ordered, and signed off
Steps are assigned to named owners and progress Pending → In Progress → Completed with working notes. Where separation of duties matters, a step can require sign-off by a different person than the one who completed it, and step ordering and due dates keep the process on track.
- Inline step assignment via a searchable user picker
- Optional per-step sign-off by a second owner (separation of duties)
- Step-ordering enforcement plus per-step and instance-level due dates
Accountability without the admin
Assigning a step automatically creates an action in the unified dashboard, and completing the step closes that action — so owners always know what's outstanding without anyone manually chasing a spreadsheet. Finishing every step prompts a two-stage completion sign-off, recorded with signer and timestamp.
- An action is created per step on assignment and closed on completion
- Progress bar and percentage visible without opening the workflow
- Two-stage completion sign-off recorded with signer and timestamp
